C & K are two of the cutest little gals I know. Their Mom ordered two "similar but unique" dresses for her girls. When I asked her about colors, she told me to just go with whatever, but that her favorite color was orange. I was going to use some fabric already in my stash, but I happened upon this gorgeous grey/teal/yellow/orange at Ta-Da Art studio in Chadron, NE, and immediately thought of her!

Miss Addi's apron was so fun to make! I loved the softness of the pink damask fabric against the gray floral. When I delivered it, her mom showed me her little play kitchen - it matched perfectly! Here's to many hours of cooking fun for little miss Addi!

Natalie ordered this dress and onesie set to match a baby headband she had previously purchased. I love how the prints and colors turned out! The dress is roomy enough to wear during the winter over the ruffle-bustle onesie or as a sundress or top during the summertime. The blossom on the dress is removable, with a pin and an alligator clip on the back so it can be use as a hairclip or attached to a headband.

Family Reunion Fashion!

My nieces and a sister-in-law helped me sew darling dresses, skirts, neckties and bowties for all the kids at our last family reunion. Sadly, we had one family unable to attend due to a sister-in-law who was just days away from delivering another nephew! So I packed a little something for them so they would feel not so left out of the festivites. A dress and hair blossom for H and some bowties for E & D.

Dresses and bowties are available in color/colors of your choice for custom order!

Dresses are $20 and come with a removable blossom with both a pin and an alligator clip on the back for versatility.

Bowties are $10 and feature a velcro closure.

My good friend from High School inspired me with her Belgian Truffles Giveaway. She asked for our best memories from 2008. I had such a blast thinking of this last year for that one. And it got me thinking about some other special memories that I have with my daughter. I've been reflecting a lot this season as well, on how blessed I am to have the mother I do. Because doing our daughters' hair is such a personal thing, and such a sweet way for us to bond with our daughters and spend a little bit of precious one-on-one time with them, I want to hear your favorite Mom & Me memories. Welcome!!!

So here's a little story: I was in town the other day with the kids and I stopped in at a little local Christmas shop that sells art & crafts by locals. Caroline was wearing a pair of hairbows I had made her (see above) and the lady asked me if I sold them. I sortof brushed it off until we hit WalMart. As I was perusing the fabric department (as I frequently do) I happened across Nebraska Huskers grosgrain ribbon. I'm not a huge athletics fan, and really nobody in my immediate family is. But having lived in Nebraska for a couple of years, I have learned that there are a LOT of die-hard fans here. So I grabbed a couple of spools and thought, "Why the heck not?" So I've been selling cute Huskers hairbows at the little shop. Thought I'd branch out a little. I've got Christmas, Autumn, Camo and Western styles available with more coming soon!

All of my bows are hand-sewn so they won't fall apart and all edges are heat treated to prevent fraying. Most are on alligator clips but I do have a few snap clips available right now and will have more coming.

Here's a sample to take a gander at while I figure everything out and get this site up and running. (I have a 15 month old clinging to me right now and so setup of the rest of stuff will have to be on hold until I have another child-free moment.)
